Who we are

KiddoWorks is a service that generates printable practice worksheets for young children. This policy covers the KiddoWorks website and the worksheet generator.

What we collect

Your account

• Your email address and an encrypted password, used to sign you in.
• Records of worksheets you have generated, and your credit balance and purchase receipts.

Details about your child

To personalise a worksheet we ask you to save a student profile. This contains only:

• a first name or nickname,
• an age,
• a class or grade.

We do not ask for a surname, school, address, photograph, date of birth or any contact detail for your child, and we ask that you do not enter one. A nickname works just as well as a real first name.

Usage information

We record which pages you visit and which features you use, so we can see what works. This includes standard technical information such as your browser type and approximate location derived from your IP address.

How worksheets are generated, and what that means for your data

Worksheets are produced by an artificial intelligence model run by Amazon Web Services. To generate a worksheet we send that model a description of the requested activity, which includes your child’s first name, age and class so the worksheet can be addressed to them and pitched at the right level.

We may also record these requests and their results in a monitoring tool so we can diagnose poor-quality worksheets. Those records contain the same first name, age and class.

If you would rather your child’s real name never left our systems, enter a nickname or initial in the student profile. The worksheet will work exactly the same way.

Services we share data with

We use the following providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

• Supabase — stores your account, student profiles, worksheet records and the generated PDF files.
• Amazon Web Services (Bedrock) — generates worksheet content. Receives the request described above.
• LangSmith — monitoring for worksheet generation quality. Receives the request and the generated result.
• Polar — processes payments as merchant of record. Receives your email and billing details. We never see or store your card number.
• Mixpanel and Vercel Analytics — product analytics on how the site is used.
• Google — advertising measurement.
• Tawk.to — the support chat widget. Receives whatever you type into it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your child’s details with anyone beyond the providers listed above.

How long we keep things

• Account, student profiles and worksheets are kept until you ask us to delete them.
• Purchase receipts are kept longer, because we are required to retain records of transactions.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• send you a copy of the data we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete your account and your child’s profiles,
• stop using your data for analytics.

Email admin@kiddo.works and we will action it. You can delete an individual student profile yourself at any time from the worksheet creator.

Children

KiddoWorks accounts are for adults. Children should not create accounts or use the site unsupervised. By saving a student profile you confirm that you are the child’s parent or guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian’s permission — for example as their teacher.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and our analytics and advertising providers set their own. You can block cookies in your browser, though signing in will not work without the essential ones.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
